Smith’s Services Inc. is a family owned company, operating in Orangeburg, South Carolina since September 1947.  Originally started as an automotive repair shop and service station that grew to include two additional service stations and a towing service, when the second generation joined the business in 1971 and 1976 and incorporated in August 1979. We operated the three service stations and wrecker service until 1984 when we built a new garage and service station and combined two of the service stations and the wrecker service into one business. Our father continued to operate his service station until his retirement.

 

In September 1989, after 18 years of operation in the wrecker business, we started selling Nomar Towing Equipment, and repairing wreckers and rollbacks, along with our garage business. The towing equipment sales and service business increased year after year, and with the addition of Jerr-Dan’s complete line of equipment in 1993, we devoted more and more time to the towing equipment industry. By the end of 1999 our facility downtown had become very cramped and we were out of space. We purchased an eight-acre tract of land near I-26, on hwy 301 just outside Orangeburg, and built a new facility in 2001.

 

With over 10,000 Sq. Ft. in our new facility designed just for truck equipment sales, parts sales, service and repairs, and owners that have been in the towing business, know and understand the needs of the towing operator, we feel we can provide sales expertise, repair parts and accessories, and we can service and repair all brands of towing equipment. We stock a large inventory of parts for Jerr-Dan, Nomar, Dynamic, and many lines of accessories for your trucks.
